Effective January 1, 2010, all lawyers holding a license to practice law in the State of New Jersey, whether plenary or limited, are required to participate in the continuing legal education program.

SMLR's Labor Education Action Research Network (LEARN) is providing mandatory training and awarding CLE credits for continuing legal education courses.

Those who practice law in New Jersey are required to uphold specific standards of professional competencies and capabilities throughout their careers. The Board on Continuing Legal Education was created and assigned the task of administering the Supreme Court's requirement to ensure that those who are members of the bar meet these standards.

Courses that award CLE credits:

  • Public Sector Labor Relations Courses (PSLR)
  • Employment and Workplace Law (EWL)
  • Labor and Management Conference (L-M Conference)
