The online MHRM program has provided me with valuable skills and knowledge that I will carry with me through my career. At first I was nervous working a full time position while trying to receive my Master's degree. My nerves quickly disappeared shortly after starting the program. I felt the workload was manageable and the material I was being taught made it enjoyable.

The best part of the program was being able to apply what I was learning to my day to day job in Human Resources.

I enrolled into the Rutgers Online MHRM program after careful consideration of several major U.S. universities that offered somewhat similar MSc programs in Human Resources and my choice was determined by the Rutgers' rating, reputation, budget, and the program itself. As an HR practitioner with 15 years of progressive experience, I felt that my professional growth was stuck at the time, and I urgently needed a boost that would make me progress. Rutgers' promise on delivering namely an applied program has been another factor that influenced my decision to apply. Generally, I would treat a commitment to pursue a master's degree in HR as an investment; ideally, the program should yield solid theoretical foundations, strategic depth, and additional skills - in my case, all of those indeed were delivered and that boosted my employability, distinguishing me from other applicants. Rutgers offered me an enhanced academic experience, absolutely brilliant faculty of the School of Management and Labor Relations (dear professors, I love you all!) and incredibly supportive student counselors, from the very first informational session through graduation.

As an older student, I enrolled into the MHRM Program at the age of 45 with a clearly cut academic and professional objectives and in my case, the program exceeded my expectations. Shortly after completion of the second semester my application for an international assignment indicating enrollment in the Rutgers MHRM program was noticed and I was awarded a new international position with my organization that hopefully opened a whole new chapter in my professional career. To our alma mater - thank you for molding me to be a better professional!

The Online MHRM program is great for anyone looking to attain their degree on a flexible schedule.  Because of this, the program promotes work-life balance and students are able to schedule their time efficiently. The classes and the professors are organized in a manner in which students can complete assignments and review course material within a respectable time frame. Lastly, because of the size of the classes, professors are able to connect with their students in a timely manner. This program worked best for me because I worked full time and I was not able to travel to on-campus; however I was still able to gain connections and complete my degree in the best way possible, for me.
