How do I apply for the program?

Applications to the program are submitted through the Rutgers Graduate and Professional Admissions online application system. You can apply online at the following link. The first step in the application process is creating an account by choosing a login ID and PIN. Once you begin an application for admission, you may save your progress and return to the application later to complete it. If you experience difficulty with the online application and need an alternative method, please contact us.

What should I include in my personal statement?

Tell us about yourself, as well as what you hope to gain from the program. You might discuss your past experiences, your career objectives, and/or your intellectual interests. Your statement does not need to be long in length – about 400 words is sufficient.

Am I required to take the GRE or GMAT?

No, the GRE/GMAT is waived.

Am I required to take the TOEFL or IELTS?

Please refer to the Rutgers Graduate Admissions website for information about requirements and testing.

When will I know if I have been accepted into the MLER program?

Applications to the program are evaluated as they are received and admissions decisions are made on a rolling basis. The admission committee highly recommends that you apply ahead of application deadlines to ensure consideration. Most decisions will occur on a rolling basis but no decision on your application will occur later than 2-3 weeks prior to the start of the program.

When does the program start?

Applicants can start their degree during the Fall, Spring, or Summer semesters.
