The Education Design Lab’s (EDL) Community College Growth Engine Fund (CCGEF) convenes cohorts to design "micro-pathways" at community colleges in support of students' completion and employment success. EERC is conducting the evaluation of the effort including both implementation and outcomes.

Launched in October 2020 by the Education Design Lab (EDL), the Community College Growth Engine Fund (CCGEF) convenes cohorts of community colleges to design "micro-pathways" through higher education that better support students in completing their coursework and finding employment. Nearly two dozen colleges across two cohorts have already joined the CCGEF network. EERC is conducting both implementation and outcomes evaluation of the 2nd cohort of CCGEF colleges. The evaluation includes surveys of students from participating colleges; interviews with cohort teams including design leads, administrators, and faculty; analysis of student outcomes from skill growth to employment and income status; and a survey of employer partners.
