Transforming Post-Secondary Education in Mathematics Research

EERC is conducting a two-pronged mixed methods research study for Transforming Post-Secondary Education in Mathematics (TPSE) Math.  The project includes qualitative research on selected math programs throughout the country to document promising practices including: career preparation, alumni networks, partnerships with other disciplines, advising and work experience.  The project also includes regional analyses on mathematics trends for BA and MA graduates, including: degrees Awarded (BA and MA) overall and by institution; demographics; and changes over time in mathematics course taking including credits, developmental education course taking, and career fields for math majors.
