Yana van der Meulen Rodgers is the Director of SMLR's Center for Women and Work and a Professor of Labor Studies and Employment Relations. She also serves as a Professor and Undergraduate Director of Women's and Gender Studies in the School of Arts and Sciences.
She has published numerous articles in refereed economics journals and has written a book entitled Maternal Employment and Child Health: Global Issues and Policy Solutions (Edward Elgar 2011). Her new book, due to be published by Oxford University Press in November 2018, is titled The Global Gag Rule and Women's Reproductive Health: Rhetoric versus Reality.
Yana served as President of the International Association for Feminist Economics in 2013-14, and she has served as an associate editor for Feminist Economics since 2005. She has also worked regularly as a consultant for the World Bank, the United Nations, and the Asian Development Bank.
Yana is an avid runner and enjoys racing, especially half-marathons.
