Xiangmin (Helen) Liu, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management in the School of Management and Labor Relations at Rutgers University. She received her Ph.D. in Human Resource Studies from the ILR School at Cornell University in 2009.

Dr. Liu's research examines the intersection of technological change, employment, and workforce dynamics. Her work focuses on how technological innovations and organizational practices shape outcomes for workers and firms, as well as the evolving structure of work. She also studies the development of a STEM-capable workforce, with particular attention to how prior educational experiences influence career trajectories under changing technological and economic conditions. Her research has been published in leading journals, including American Educational Research Journal, British Journal of Industrial Relations, ILR Review, Journal of Management, and Personnel Psychology, among others. She currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Labor and Employment Relations Association and Associate Editor of Human Resource Management Journal.

Prior to joining Rutgers University, Dr. Liu was an Associate Professor of Human Resource Management in the School of Labor and Employment Relations at Pennsylvania State University.
