Union Leadership Academy

The Union Leadership Academy (ULA) held a shop steward training session for International Union of Operating Engineers (IUOE) Local 68 in West Caldwell, NJ. Attendees, seen above, will advance their leadership skills through ULA’s classes.

 

Building Leaders, One at a Time...

For more than fifty years, the Union Leadership Academy (ULA) has provided an outstanding leadership development program for NJ union members and leaders. The curriculum is designed to equip emerging leaders with new knowledge and effective skills, which have advanced the leadership position of many graduates in their unions and in their communities. Classes are held at several convenient locations throughout the state. Take a class today and become the leader you want to be tomorrow!

ULA Certificate Requirements: 

Participants must complete eight courses to receive the Union Leadership Academy Certificate. Course completion requires attendance at five out of six class meetings per course. While the program begins in September, learners may enroll in individual courses at any time.

ULA Courses

The ULA provides classes on a variety of topics that are important to all workers, including rank and file union members, shop stewards, and new and aspiring union leaders. Registration:

The per-class registration fee is $90. Pre-registration and payment are required to guarantee seats. For online registration, we accept credit cards (Visa or MasterCard) and e-checks. If you cannot use this form of payment, please call 848-932-9504.

Cancellation Policy:

No refunds will be issued. Cancellations made three business days prior to the date of a class will receive full credit toward any future courses offered by LEARN at Rutgers University.
