SMLR Distinguished Professor Douglas Kruse’s latest book is now available, and it’s already caught the attention of a former White House budget director.

Peter Orszag, who served as President Barack Obama’s director of the Office of Management and Budget (2009-10) and director of the Congressional Budget Office (2007-08), wrote about Kruse’s work in a Bloomberg column published on February 22.

The book, How Did Employee Ownership Firms Weather the Last Two Recessions?, documents a link between employee ownership and increased employment stability.

It’s co-authored by Fidan Ana Kurtulus, Assistant Professor at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and published by the W.E. Upjohn Institute for Employment Research.
