Dr. David Allen is Named Editor Elect of the Journal of Management

Dr. David Allen, Chair of the Department of Human Resource Management, has been appointed Editor Elect of the Journal of Management. David brings an impeccable scholarly reputation to the JOM Editorship. He earned a Ph.D. from Georgia State University in 1999. He is also a Distinguished Research Environment Professor at Warwick Business School in the U.K. Dr. David Allen, Chair of the Department of Human Resource Management.

David has published 51 refereed journal articles, many of which have appeared in top-tier management journals. David is a fellow of the Southern Management Association, the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology, and the American Psychological Association. David brings significant editorial experience, having served on the editorial boards of nine journals including the Academy of Management Journal, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, and Personnel Psychology. He currently serves as the Senior Associate Editor of the Journal of Management. David will assume the role of Editor-Elect beginning in June 2016 and will begin accepting manuscripts as Editor-in-Chief on July 1, 2017. 

The Journal of Management (JOM) is a peer-reviewed, bi-monthly publication that is committed to publishing scholarly empirical and theoretical research articles that have a high impact on the management field as a whole. The Journal of Management is ranked 4 out of 185 in management, 3 out of 115 in business, and 1 out of 76 in psychology, applied. The journal has an impact Factor of 6.071. JOM encourages new ideas or new perspectives on existing research. Manuscripts that are suitable for publication in JOM cover domains such as business strategy and policy, entrepreneurship, human resource management, organizational behavior, organizational theory, and research methods.
