Mary Kate Marasco

Mary Kate Marasco has been Program Coordinator at the Center for Innovation in Worker Organization since July 2019. Prior to joining CIWO, Mary Kate was with the Rutgers Center for Health Services Research, where she supported research focused on impacts of mental health & substance use policy for children and adults nationwide. Mary Kate is especially passionate about reproductive justice, health education & equity in healthcare. Facilitating sex education workshops for youth & young adults in Newark, NJ steered her toward a Master's degree from the Rutgers School of Public Health. Born and raised in New Jersey, her experience with social justice organizations began in Pittsburgh through the Public Allies AmeriCorps program. She also holds a Bachelor's degree in Communication & Rhetoric and a Certificate in the Study of Women, Gender, and Sexuality from the University of Pittsburgh.
