Sam Scovill

Sam Scovill (they/them) is a Research Analyst for the Education and Employment Research Center (EERC) at the School of Management and Labor Relations. As a researcher in the Education and Employment Research Center (EERC), Sam has been able to work on a number of different research projects focusing on student decision-making, non-credit education, non-degree credential quality, and workforce development. They have worked predominantly in a qualitative research capacity, but also have an interest in quantitative research. In addition to working with EERC, they are a PhD candidate in the School of Sociology at the University of Arizona where they are completing their dissertation which looks at how 18-24-year-olds in Tucson, Arizona adopt political identities, define what counts as politics, and how they participate in politics. Prior to graduate school, Sam was a program and administrative assistant at Community Action Youth and Workforce Development Programs where they supported both our workforce development programs as well as the leadership development programming for young people ages 14-24.
