Jocelyn Fischer (she/her/hers) is a Post-Doctoral Associate for the Center for Women and Work. Jocelyn will conduct research on issues related to gender equity in the labor market, women, working families, and the childcare workforce. Prior to joining the Center for Women and Work, Jocelyn completed her PhD in Sociology at Cornell University. She also previously served as the Special Assistant to the President at the Institute for Women's Policy Research.

Much of her research to date has been motivated by the goal of understanding why gender inequality in paid work and in families persists today. However, Jocelyn's prior research has also sought to understand and describe changing economic conditions and the economic security of vulnerable groups, the intersection of work and personal life, changing family behaviors, and heterogeneity across subpopulations in the construction of gender.
