Sidney Seligman joined the SMLR faculty in January 2016.  He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in employment law and human resources in healthcare and in the public sector.  He also has interests in workplace dispute resolution and healthcare law and policy. 

Mr. Seligman was the Chief Human Resources Officer and Counsel for major medical centers in New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania.  He also served as representative of the National Education Association and AFSCME, AFL-CIO.  He has served as an advocate for both management and labor in the public sector, as well as a neutral in the public sector.  Mr. Seligman currently serves as an arbitrator for private and public sector labor disputes. 

Mr. Seligman is a graduate of Rutgers College, the Graduate School of Social Work at Rutgers and the Rutgers Newark School of Law.  He was a Trustee of Rutgers University prior to joining the faculty of SMLR.
