Staffing in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit: A Comparison of the United States and Italy - October 7, 2014
Tue, 10/7/2014, 12pm

Little is known about multidisciplinary staffing patterns in neonatal intensive care units (NCIUs) and how those patterns influence patient outcomes. International comparisons provide insights into alternative models of multidisciplinary collaboration.

Dr. Jeannette Rogowski, professor of health economics at Rutgers, will discuss her examination of staffing and practice environments in a broad sample of NICUs in the U.S. and Italy, based on primary data collection. The implications for patient outcomes for infants with very low birth weights will be explored.
