Today, leaders are being asked to shepherd their organizations through multiple large-scale pivots at the same time – whether it’s building 'ONE' Organization after multiple M&As and integration, or building resilience during economic volatility or fighting to attract and retain top talent by creating a WINNING Organizational cultures that enable people of diverse backgrounds to stay in the organization, grow and thrive together. Trying to meet all these needs at once makes it clear that an organization’s culture can play a role of catalyst in implementing talent strategy– one that can either catapult an organization to outperform its peers in each area, or one that can result in a loss of focus and motivation, ultimately leading to the exit of key leaders and talent.

The key to transform or build an organizational culture is to understand that it begins with individual behavior change. Culturally adept leaders know how to influence those behaviors by being seen 'together' collaborating and 'walking the talk' and exemplifying the 'Value' behaviors that they want to institutionalize in their organization to be highly successful.

The session is highly relevant to all SMLR and business students at all levels. The session will be moderated by Professor Bill Dwyer and SMLR Graduate student, Murlee Dhar Shyam. The MasterClass Series is organized by SMLR Career Services.
