The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) has awarded a 2016-2017 Merit Award designation to the Rutgers University SHRM Undergraduate student chapter for providing superior growth and development opportunities to its student chapter members.

We are pleased to announce that Rutgers' Center for Innovation in Worker Organization (CIWO) Director and Professor Marilyn Sneiderman has been elected Vice President for Universities at the United Association of Labor Educators (UALE).

On April 14, 2016 at Union County College, Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations Dean James Hayton and Dr. Padma Arvind, Director of the New Jersey Healthcare Talent Network, joined officials from New Jersey's Department of Labor and Workforce Development as Governor Chris Christie announced the launch of three new Talent Development Centers—one at Rutgers SMLR—which will promote industry partnerships with the state’s higher education institutions.
