Featuring the most frequently published and cited HR faculty in the United States, the Human Resource Management Department is dedicated to cutting-edge research and teaching in human resource management with a particular emphasis on the relationship between HR strategy and business success.
The department is also home to the Strategic Human Resource Leadership Council, a partnership between leading HR faculty researchers and HR executives from the world's leading corporations. In addition, HR professionals can take advantage of the department’s continuing studies courses to further their knowledge in the field.
Undergraduate Programs
Currently the undergraduate programs offered by the Human Resource Management Department include a HRM Minor as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management degree.
Graduate Programs
The graduate programs offered by the Human Resource Management Department include Master in Human Resource Management degree that can be pursued on either a full-time or part-time basis. A Global Executive Master's in Human Resource Leadership prepares individuals to assume senior HR positions in leading international corporations. In addition, the School of Management and Labor Relations offers a PhD in Industrial Relations and Human Resources program for those students seeking to go on to teaching or research.

Human Resource Management Faculty

Strategic HR Leadership Council
The Strategic Human Resource Leadership Council (SHRLC) was created to increase collaboration between the world-renowned HR faculty at Rutgers University and senior HR thought-leaders from many of the top global corporations. Together, they identify the competencies and design the curriculum for the development of future HR leaders. The goal of SHRLC is to advance and shape the field of human resource management by means of this exceptional collaboration.
Continuing Studies
The Human Resource Management Department offers a number of Continuing Studies certificate programs in conjunction with the Labor Studies and Employment Relations Department or the Center for Management Development.
