Six-Month Leadership Development Opportunity Is Announced
Rutgers University's Center for Innovation in Worker Organization (CIWO) at the School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR) and the Alvarez Porter Group Ignite Talent Development Program (Ignite) are excited to announce a co-sponsored, six-month leadership development opportunity for staff leaders in participating social justice organizations. Applications are now being accepted.
In August of 2017, CIWO held a gathering in Maryland to look at the question of how to grow and sustain membership and leadership in our organizations. Attendees discussed innovative and path-breaking ideas as well as how to support each other in learning more and leading change. The CIWO/APG Ignite Coaching Cohort is one of the answers to that question.
Select participants will have six individual coaching sessions with a highly trained, social justice-oriented professional coach. In addition, the cohort will meet by video conference three times during the six months. Participants will challenge themselves and each other to achieve a meaningful development goal connected to leadership and membership growth. All of these services are offered at no charge to the participating individual or organization.
We have 12 slots for this first cohort and expect many applications.
