Carlos Flores is a doctoral candidate in the counseling program at Montclair State University and earned a master’s degree in counseling with a concentration in higher education from Montclair State University and a bachelor of arts in sociology from the University of South Florida. For the last three-and-a-half years, Carlos served as a Career Development Specialist at Fairleigh Dickinson University, where he provided comprehensive career services to undergraduate and graduate students across a variety of majors. His professional experience also includes student leader advising, diversity and inclusion programs, multicultural competency training, and teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Carlos is passionate about higher education as a force for positive social change. He is committed to providing services informed by a multicultural and social justice lens to support student development and positive lifelong learning. Carlos is excited to join the Rutgers SMLR community and to continue to serve college students in the pursuit of their academic and professional goals.
