Undergraduate Program in Human Resource Management
For spring semester 2022, SMLR will offer courses in a variety of modalities. In-person sections of all required courses for the Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management, as well as in-person sections of many electives, will be available. In addition, and in keeping with SMLR’s long history (long before COVID) of offering high quality online courses, we will continue to offer asynchronous and synchronous remote courses. While the final numbers of courses may change closer to spring due to student demand, at present we are planning to offer approximately 27 in-person sections, and 9 online sections of our courses.

Spring 2022 Vaccination & Booster Shot Requirements
Read the January 4, 2022 announcement from Antonio Calcado, Rutgers Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, that outlines vaccination and booster shot requirements for Rutgers students.
Almost all SMLR students are required by Rutgers University to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, receive a booster shot when eligible, and upload record of these vaccinations to the Rutgers Student Immunization Portal. Some students may have special issues related to this requirement. Please see below for more information.
- All undergraduate students, all graduate students (with the exception of those enrolled in our Online Professional Master's in Human Resource Management or Online Professional Master's in Labor & Employment Relations program) DO need to be vaccinated and get a booster shot once eligible, even if you are taking all online courses, unless you receive an official exemption from Rutgers or have a related accommodation.
- We cannot promise to register you for all online courses, but we do want you as a SMLR student to be able to continue your academic progress and will take special situations into account to the fullest extent possible. Please do not contact individual faculty members as they will not be able to resolve these special issues – use the request form below so that we can assist you as quickly and efficiently as possible.
If you are a SMLR student and do not find what you need, please refer to the contact information for SMLR student advisors below.
