Profile: Radha Roy Biswas

Senior Research Analyst


Radha Roy Biswas is a Senior Research Analyst at the Education and Employment Research Center. An international higher education and workforce development specialist from India, Radha has extensive experience in the USA, where she worked on education pathways and skills development programs and policies, community colleges, and public-private partnerships, with special attention to employer-based programs for skills development and education. She worked in the Boston-based think tank, Jobs for the Future, where she produced numerous international publications in these areas, and provided technical assistance, research and consultancy for major initiatives from global foundations such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, the Ford Foundation and the US Departments of Education and Labour. She is currently based in Calcutta, India, and serves as a consultant and researcher to Rutgers University, and for other Indo-US foundation-based projects. She recently completed a study on reverse skills migration and entrepreneurship in India for the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland. for publication by Springer.  

Radha has a keen interest in education and skill-based economic development strategies and the role of corporate citizenship in furthering the development of regions.  She has a BA in Economics from the Pune University and an MA in Economic Development from the University of Massachusetts.
