Innovative Training & Workforce Development Programs

The Center of Women and Work's (CWW) Innovative Training and Workforce Development Research (ITWD) and Programs conducts research and evaluations on innovative workforce development policies, programs, and solutions. Our research is focused on understanding how to prepare underserved populations to compete in today’s high-skill economy with a particular attention paid to women and non-college educated workers.

On Thursday, February 24, 2011, Joseph R. Blasi, a world-leading authority on employee ownership, was named the inaugural holder of the J. The School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR) invites applications for the  Q.A. Shaw McKean, Jr. Fellowships in Democratic Capitalism. The fellowships will be awarded to outstanding PhD or master's candidates or to visiting or postdoctoral scholars. The  Q.A. Shaw McKean, Jr. Fellowships are supported by a generous gift from Linda Borden McKean. 

OTEC’s Health Care Project

Based on an understanding of the interrelationship between the work environment and quality of care offered to long-term care residents, OTEC’s research projects and collaborations with health care organizations focus on organizational practices that enhance frontline staff participation in problem solving.
