Welcome to the James B. Carey Library

The James B. Carey Library is being renovated during Summer 2015. The main facility in the Labor Education Center will be inaccessible during the summer months, beginning May 18th and continuing until tentatively, mid-August.

During this time, please use other pick-up libraries for your materials, such as CHANG (Cook), DOUGLASS (Douglass), and KILMER (Livingston).  Eugene McElroy and Julie Peters will be located in temporary offices in the Labor Education Center. Reference and instructional services will still be available.

If you have any questions, please contact the Library Director, Julie Peters at 848-932-9608 or via email at jmoscinski@smlr.rutgers.edu.

The James B. Carey Library, located in the Labor Education Center, offers reference and information services to the students and faculty of the School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR), the larger Rutgers community, labor relations and human resource management professionals, and the working people and employers of New Jersey. We maintain a specialized collection of journals, texts, reporting services and databases in industrial relations and human resources.

The library is part of the Rutgers University Libraries system (RUL) and open to the public.
