New Role: Bill Castellano, Ph.D. is SMLR's Associate Dean for External Engagement

Bill Castellano, Ph.D., has taken on a new role as SMLR’s Associate Dean for External Engagement.
Bill previously served as Associate Dean and Executive Director of Executive and Professional Education (EPE). He will continue to lead EPE’s external engagement activities while adding oversight of SMLR’s marketing and communications office to
his portfolio. He will develop synergies across departments and centers, and seek
new opportunities to grow SMLR’s extension activities (face-to-face and online) by
building on the research and fee-for-service programs that the school already provides.
In collaboration with the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Bill will also be responsible for developing and managing international relationships with overseas institutions for the purpose of extending our global reach in teaching and serving our students.  To this end, Bill is working with East China University of Science and Technology (ECUST) to provide an executive graduate certification for MBA students concentrating in Human Resources.  Bill will be traveling to China this summer with Tracy Chang and Carla Katz.
Finally, in coordination with the Dean, Bill will also oversee the activities of the school’s marketing and communications office. This will include all internal and external communications with stakeholders via email, newsletters, social media, and the SMLR website. He will also oversee the school's Salesforce database.
