Leadership Development for Early Career Women

Program Overview:

Early career is the best time for potential women leaders to identify and develop the skills they need to advance and map potential pathways to the top—filling gaps in the diverse leadership pipeline.  This Executive and Professional Education (EPE) and Center for Women and Work (CWW) joint certificate program boosts the talent pipeline by addressing that need at both the individual and organizational level.

This three-month program follows a blended learning model with four days of in-person training at Rutgers University, facilitated and open virtual interactions, and peer mentoring and coaching. Each participant will be assigned to a peer coaching group and faculty coach, which will work together to provide feedback and guidance as each participant creates her personalized leadership development plan. Peer groups will have facilitated discussions at the start of each in-person session with guidance from program faculty, and will also interact through facilitated virtual discussions between sessions that build on topics introduced in the preceding module. Groups will present themes from their plans at the final program session prior to a Capstone Leadership Panel.
