Effective Project Management is critical to today’s business and organizational success. Through in-class practice of concepts and processes, learn proven techniques, enhanced skills and best practice principles to lay a solid Project Management foundation back at the office.
From project initiation, planning and execution to managing, controlling and closing projects, you will leave this 3-day course with a thorough understanding of how to make your projects successful. Instruction will be based on the Project Management Institute (PMI)®, A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge, (PMBOK® Guide) - Fifth Edition, Project Management Institute, Inc., 2013. Key portions of Microsoft Project software will be used to demonstrate activities, duration, task relationships, Gantt Charts, network diagrams and the critical path method.

This Project Management course will help current and future project managers, as well as those with a peripheral responsibility for project management, meet the challenges of a rapidly changing business environment. The in-class program will start with Project Management essentials, and over the 3-day course progress to cover: scope, time management, IT, risk, communication, teams, and project closeout. At the conclusion of the seminar, participants will have a solid framework of project management knowledge and skills for immediate application in the workplace.

Participants are encouraged to bring an iPad, laptop or other device that will allow you to view the materials in PDF format during each session.
