The HR Functional Excellence Certificate program examines the different functional areas that comprise the field of Human Resource Management including talent recruitment and development, effective interviewing, performance management, HR strategy, compensation and benefits, and HR law. Presented by experts at the forefront of the latest developments in their field, each workshop focuses on the skills necessary to be successful in the HR role and offers practical approaches for applying these skills in real-world situations.

Newly-appointed Human Resource professionals, HR specialists moving from one functional area in the field to another, line managers with HR responsibilities, and individuals exploring HR as a career change will all benefit from the HR Functional Excellence Certificate Program.

Participants may register for any number of individual workshops. However, we strongly recommend that the entire program be completed to maximize development of HR skills and earn a certificate.

Format:

Three convenient formats are available:

  • Individual modules - dates are provided below.
  • All modules - Once a week; 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. for 10 weeks

Credit available:

  • 3 CEUs
  • 30 CPEs

This program has been approved for 30 business recertification credit hours through the HR Certification Institute.

This program has been approved for 30 professional development credits through the Society for Human Resource Management. 

Dates:

October 9 - December 11, 2017 (Once a week; 6:00pm-9:00pm for 10 weeks). 

Cost:

  • Entire Program - $3,195
  • Individual modules - $350 per module, on a space available basis

All program materials will be housed on Rutgers Learning Management System called Sakai.  Participants are encouraged to bring an iPad, laptop or other device that will allow you to view the materials in PDF format during each session.  If you don't have a device you can download and print the materials prior to coming each week.
