Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR) in collaborations with the NJ Healthcare Talent Development Center (NJHTDC) are in the process of developing apprenticeship opportunities in healthcare. SMLR-HTDC has been expanding on current projects, which has received national attention, to help establish apprenticeship programs in NJ. Our efforts have been nominated as a national apprenticeship leader and we have committed to supporting and promoting apprenticeships in New Jersey.

Atlantic City Project
Health Care Talent Development Center will work with NJLWD and WIBs to assist those who lost their jobs due to the closing of casinos in Atlantic City. HTDC will provide sector specific information, job trends to dislocated workers and assess their re-employability skills.
Customized training consortium grant funded by NJDOL to train incumbent workers in healthcare specific management training. Our instructor and curriculum expertise include HR, Communications, Customer Services, Public Health – Health Literacy and more. Through strategic engagement and support, HTDC continues to build strong partnerships with major healthcare employers and stakeholders throughout the state of NJ. Some of our partners include but not limited to: Saint Peter's HealthCare System, RWJ, Saint Barnabas, St. Joseph's, and more.
