Panel promotes fair labor practices across countries

A panel of business owners met  November 8,  in the Labor Education Center on Cook campus to discuss concepts surrounding fair labor sourcing outside of the United States.

Panelists at the talk, which was sponsored by the School of Management and Labor Relations, included Knights Apparel CEO Joe Bozich, Executive Director of the Worker Rights Consortium Scott Nova and School House clothing founder Rachel Weeks.

Dorothy Sue CobbleDorothy Sue Cobble’s profound connection to the labor movement stems from wellsprings at once deep and wide.

You could say the Rutgers history professor has paid her dues, both literally and figuratively.

The James R. Chelius Award for Excellence in Teaching

The James R. Chelius Award for Excellence in Teaching was created by the Chelius family in honor of Professor Jim Chelius. Jim taught in the Human Resource Management program for 15 years. He was devoted to his students and was honored by Rutgers University for the quality of his teaching. The winner of the award is chosen based on a poll of the master's students in the Human Resource Management program. It was announced at the SMLR convocation that the first winner of the James R. Chelius Award is Professor Stan Gully. Congratulations Stan!
