RU POWER Holds An EEOC Panel Discussion On Workplace Issues

On November 8, Rutgers University Promote Overall Worker & Employer Relations (RU POWER) held an Equal Opportunity Commission (EEOC) panel discussion on employee rights. More than 60 students were in attendance to learn how to prevent and handle workplace discrimination.

On September 26, 2013, Barbados Senator Harcourt “Harry” Husbands, a 1997 graduate of SMLR’s master’s program in labor and employment relations, returned to Rutgers as a guest speaker in the Introduction to Labor Studies & Employment Relations class, taught by Carla Katz. During his talk, Senator Husbands stressed how a degree in labor and employment relations can lead to a diverse set of opportunities.
