Bachelor of Arts in Human Resource Management

The BA in Human Resource Management (HRM) is a joint degree from the School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR) and the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS).  It is a multidisciplinary major that draws heavily from business strategy, psychology, economics, and sociology.  Students who are in good academic standing are eigible to declare the human resource management (HRM) major through SAS.

Admissions | Master of Human Resource Management

Admission to the Master of Human Resource Management (MHRM) program at the Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations is competitive, and applications are received from around the globe. To ensure your application is considered for admission, please follow the guidelines carefully.

Courses | Master of Human Resource Management

Courses in the Master of Human Resource Management Program  are heavily focused on HR strategy and business fundamentals. Students are required to take 12 courses in four broad areas: HR Strategy, HR Decision Making, HR Functional Areas, and HR Context Areas. An additional four elective courses can help to customize their experience.

HR Strategy

HR Strategy is one of the four required course areas for students in the Master of Human Resource Management Program. Students are required to take the following four courses in this area to receive their MHRM degree. 

HR Decision Making

HR Decision Making is one of the four required course areas for students in the Master of Human Resource Management Program. Students are required to take the following two courses in this area to receive their MHRM degree.
