Postdoctoral Research Associate
Dr. Elizabeth Nisbet is a postdoctoral research associate at the Center for Women and Work (CWW). She holds a doctorate in planning and public policy from Rutgers University’s Edward J. Bloustein School, a master's degree in communication from the Annenberg School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a bachelor's degree in political science and French from Furman University.
Her research interests concern the relationship between public policy and low-wage and contingent work, job quality, and work-life balance. Dr. Nisbet has had an extensive career in policy, programming, and research and evaluation. She has worked for several nonprofit organizations, where she implemented and evaluated programs in education, economic security, and health, such as the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies, Sesame Workshop, and Helen Keller International. Dr. Nisbet began her career as a legislative assistant for U.S. Representative J. Roy Rowland.
