  • An advanced sociology course
  • An advanced psychology course
3 I–III Three courses to develop breadth of knowledge. These serve as the foundation for taking advanced seminars, which develop depth of knowledge.


Approval of the graduate director is required for the advanced sociology course and the
advanced psychology course.

Statistics I - Required 3 I

15:291:515 or equivalent. Must be a Ph.D.-level course, beyond the level of 16:960:531, 532.

Statistics II - Required 3 I or II

15:291:625 or equivalent. Must be a Ph.D.-level course, beyond the level of 16:960:531, 532.
